[Notes]
The boundaries between jazz and popular music were never as blurry as in the 1920s, when jazz bands played pop songs and dance bands performed jazz tunes. This recording celebrates this mixture and mutual influence—and as the original liner notes exhort, "Climb aboard with a hey nonny-nonny and a hot cha-cha!"
