[Notes]
An exceptional old-time release on Roane Records. Franklin George, a legendary fiddler, banjo-player, bag-pipe player, and all around musician and old-time scholar, is featured on this release as well as the rare fiddle performances of John Hilt and John Summers. Originally issued in 1977 on the obscure Anachronistic label, this collection features Franklin George on fiddle, banjo, hammered dulcimer, and Pat Dunford on banjo and guitar. This is indeed an incredible collection of very well played fiddle and banjo tunes and Scottish Reels. Very sensitive and sincere notes are included.
