[Notes]
In 1958 Folkways Records hired Ronnie and Stu Lipner, two international folk dance instructors and consultants, to "edit, compile, and/or procure…a series of recordings based on Dances of Many Peoples." One of the results is this collection of field recordings of various tribal dances from the Great Plains and American Southwest. Liner notes detail each of the dances, though the names of the performers and dates and locations of the performances are not specified.
