Released in 1955, Folk Songs of Four Continents consists of nine songs performed by The Song Swappers and Pete Seeger. Songs from The Bahamas, Canada, Chile, India, Israel, Liberia, Norway, and the United States are featured. Members of the Song Swappers have no formal music training; their mission was to provide music that was accessible for listeners and easily learned. The songs were selected to encourage group singing. Liner notes include song lyrics and brief descriptions of each song.
